Gist /jist/ noun
(1) the most essential or most vital part of some idea or experience; the most important pieces of information (2) the real point of action
We analyze the complex—and often conflicting—forces affecting healthcare, distill what matters, and deliver guidance on the industry’s future direction and what it means for your growth and strategy.
In brief, we give you “the gist” of what’s important for your organization.
Meet the founders
I come from a family tradition of national service. For the past twenty years, I’ve brought that same passion for service to the goal of making healthcare work better in this country. Nothing gets me more excited than the opportunity to work with leaders in the industry to bring fresh insight and provocative ideas to the task of improving care for our citizens.
Lisa Bielamowicz, MD
I became a doctor twenty years ago to make healthcare better for patients. Our work at Gist Healthcare allows me to do that at national scale. The pace of transformation in healthcare has been frustratingly slow. I love working with systems who are driven to change, helping them understand the market, and create solutions that consumers will value.
Who we are
Gist Healthcare is an independent strategic advisory service that provides guidance to healthcare leaders in hospital systems, physician groups and other organizations on market direction, system strategy, care transformation and payment reform.
At Gist Healthcare, we want to set a new direction for the industry. Our vision is centered around delivering value to the most important people in healthcare – individual consumers. We aspire to help your organization make care accessible, affordable and reliable, and to support you in building a durable platform for success in a rapidly changing environment
